Capri

Rising dramatically out of the Gulf of Naples, Capri is defined by rugged limestone cliffs, deep turquoise waters, and classic Mediterranean charm. Taking a fast hydrofoil out for a day trip, we set out to explore the island's iconic sea stacks, winding hillside pathways, and panoramic coastal lookouts before making the journey across to our hotel base in Bari.

Highlights from a Day on the Island

The Faraglioni & Marina Piccola: Capri’s defining natural landmarks—three colossal limestone sea stacks jutting out of the deep cobalt-blue water. Viewing them from the coastal paths and looking out from Marina Piccola provided unbeatable framing for wide-angle landscape shots and cinematic video.

Gardens of Augustus & Via Krupp: Perched high along the southern cliffs, these manicured botanical terraces deliver panoramic views overlooking the sea and the dramatic, hairpin switchbacks of Via Krupp carved directly into the sheer rock face far below.

The Heart of Capri Town (The Piazzetta): Winding through narrow, whitewashed pedestrian alleys lined with bougainvillea brings you into Piazza Umberto I, where open-air café terraces beneath the clocktower capture the island’s vibrant, easygoing rhythm.

Anacapri Heights & Monte Solaro: Escaping up the mountain to the quieter town of Anacapri, the open-air chairlift up to the summit of Monte Solaro reveals breathtaking 360-degree vistas stretching across the entire Bay of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, and the Sorrento Peninsula.
