Cuba
Cuba is a profoundly vibrant island where a complex history and rich Caribbean culture meet in a unique, time-warp experience. Exploring the colorful, faded grandeur of Havana and the revolutionary heart of Santa Clara offered an unforgettable adventure. I actually took this trip before Tamara and I met, making it a special addition to the travel archives. However, I didn't manage to get many pictures during my time there. Rather than looking through a viewfinder, I was completely absorbed in living in the moment, taking in the live music, the incredible local hospitality, and the distinct energy of the island.Highlights from Our Days in Cuba
The Energy of Havana: Walking the lively streets of the capital, taking in the iconic vintage cars, the historic colonial architecture, and the bustling daily life of the city.
Exploring Santa Clara: Venturing into central Cuba to visit Santa Clara, soaking in its deep revolutionary history and engaging with its culturally rich atmosphere.
An Unplugged Experience: Choosing to put the camera away for most of the trip to truly immerse myself in the authentic Cuban way of life.
The Early Archives: Looking back on this foundational, pre-Tamara journey is a great reminder of the adventures that sparked my love for international travel.
