Poznań

Highlights from Poznań

  • The Old Market Square (Stary Rynek): The absolute heart of the city, lined with picturesque, vividly painted townhouses. It is the perfect place to start exploring and capture the colourful, historic architecture that defines the area.

  • The Renaissance Town Hall: Standing proudly in the centre of the square is the 16th-century Town Hall, widely considered an architectural masterpiece and one of the most beautiful Renaissance buildings in the region.

  • The Noon Billy Goats: The most famous attraction in Poznań happens every day at exactly 12:00 PM. The doors above the Town Hall clock open, and two mechanical metal billy goats emerge to butt heads 12 times—a quirky, beloved tradition that has been drawing crowds since 1551.

  • The Cross-Country Journey: Poznań serves as a brilliant starting point. From here, the excellent national rail network makes it incredibly easy to catch a direct train to Warsaw to experience the capital's modern energy, then continue the journey down to the historic streets of Kraków for the final leg of the adventure.
